The MCAT is the most important exam for medical school, as it determines whether you get into a program and how competitive you will be. I was in your shoes just a few years ago, and I want to share what I’ve learned with you so you don’t make the same mistakes I did.
As an MCAT teacher at a top prep company, I increased my student’s scores to an average of 13 points, and as a private tutor, I have helped students reach their full potential by achieving a whopping 17-point average increase. This isn't a miracle but rather the result of following a simple algorithm:
Have a test-taking strategy
Learn the content permanently using spaced repetition
Practice the 7 essential strategies for the MCAT using AAMC material
Take a monthly practice test
Review your test and identify areas of weakness (content, strategy, critical thinking)
Strengthen areas of weakness alone or with a tutor
Repeat
In addition to following this algorithm, you also need the resources to ensure you are doing it as effectively as possible. To help you with this, I've spent 60 hours developing the Ultimate MCAT Study Guide, complete with 106 modules, a smart self-scheduler, and it's customized to your unique needs! To get this tool valued at $300 absolutely free of charge, simply fill out this form and I will personalize the guide based on your needs.
How To Start
It’s not enough to do the work; you need to stand out from your peers. To do this, consider what most people will do to prepare for the MCAT. The vast majority are just going to buy a set of books from the big name companies for $300, read them cover to cover, and then forget the content by the time their test comes around. How do I know this? I was one of them. I wasted an entire summer reading the 7-series books made by a top prep company cover to cover, taking handwritten notes, and then promptly forgetting the information.
The solution to this common problem is to employ spaced repetition. Many excellent programs utilize spaced repetition software, but my favorite by far is Anki. By taking your notes and putting them into Anki, you will never forget them again. But this can be a time-consuming process. Because of this, I have built the perfect MCAT Anki deck with nearly 3,000 cards available to my students. For a limited time, you can get access to these cards as well as my 7 Essential Strategies course by clicking here for only $150.
How To Prepare Without Spending Thousands
So now you hopefully have access to the same study guide I give my private tutoring students and are ready to master the content using Anki. The next thing to develop is a good strategy. This is the most crucial part of the MCAT, and test prep companies know this because they charge anywhere from $3,000-$10,000 for 60-100 hour classes to teach their strategies.
I firmly believe that access to medical school shouldn’t require spending thousands of dollars on MCAT prep or require 60+ hours to learn 7 key strategies. That’s why I’ve created an hour-long video series that goes into depth on these strategies and only costs as much as a set of MCAT prep books (which hopefully you saved by using my complimentary study guide)! You can pre-order the MCAT Essential Strategies course now and save 50%. For this special first-time offering, I will present the information in a live interactive session with Q&A on January 14th at 6 PM CST.
